lindsay and kaata's(but mostly lindsay's)planning bio

These are our fun Save-the-Date passports and magnets!  We're so pleased with the way they turned out!  One of my BMs' mom has her own stationary business, and she created these passports for us!!!  We wanted to do something kinda unique-ish, so we thought that this would be a nice way to go... (although, in Japan no-one ever sends out or has even heard of STDs so this was a hard one for my FI to wrap his brain around - hope people understand the point of these bad boys). They look quite big in the following pictures, but they are almost the exact same size as real passports. The inner-pages are in a Tiffany Blue color, but it is hard to see that through these photos.

Whee! The INVITES ARE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so I have several people to thank for the inspiration for these invites, but first let me say that most of my inspiration came from M&MsMaui ~ Our theme also revolves around butterflies and I loved her fluttering butterflies - I analyzed elements of her invites with my wonderful paper lady and she created a similar feel. I was so excited! We did passport STD's, so I wanted our invites to be the ticket to paradise...We are so thrilled with the way they turned out.  We are not having a traditional wedding, so we didn't want our invites to be traditional.  We are hoping to put a smile on our guests' faces. We also included the Hawaiian phrase at the bottom, which seems to be pretty popular with the knotties recently! love it. The white paper is linen, and it is so luxurious - we sent out the invites last week and people are raving!  This makes me so happy!  The Tiffany Blue paper is called Lagoon Stardream. It's sparkly and fun. I really love them!
We made the main invite all in English (the boarding pass), and the inserts are all in English or all in Japanese, for our Japanese guests.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible, so hopefully it is enough!  In the bottom corner are hot pink butterflies - there are three different patterns, but only two are shown here. The missing pattern has two small butterflies together.  The RSVPs for the U.S. are all postcards and the ones in Japan we sent with a separate envelope, as they are too small to send as postcards.  What a relief to have these all done! I guess this means that we are really getting married in 2.5 months! It's real!!! YOWZA!
